    There is a small exchange located onboard at Naval Base Kitsap-Bremerton and a larger one located at Naval Base Kitsap-Bangor. The Exchange offers theaters, fast-food restaurants and many retail stores. There are discounted rates for items sold at the Navy Exchange and no sales tax is charged.     Hours: 1000-1900/Monday-Friday 0900-1800/Saturday 1000-1700/Sunday Medium size NEX facility with a recent (Fall 1997) $1.5 million store expansion with average stock inventories. Has an excellent Uniform Shop with tailoring services provided. Subway Sandwich and TCBY Yogurt shops are available in the north end of the store adjacent to the check-out stands. Is one of six DOD military exchanges within the Puget Sound area. The others are located at: Naval Base Kitsap - Bangor (Silverdale), Naval Station Everett (Smokey Point complex in Marysville), Naval Air Station Whidbey Island (Oak Harbor), and McChord Air Force Base and Fort Lewis (Tacoma-45 miles to the south adjacent to Interstate 5).
